Kidz Cabin Sports Day 2015: Kungfu fighters & body benders

Part 3

After the parade, a more interesting and energetic performance was presented to the audience. The Kungfu power show! Or, maybe the Karate Kids in action? Or, the Shaolin super kicks? The Ninja shadows, maybe? Or, the Taekwondo? Yes, Taekwondo. That sounds right. Like the previous years, everyone had been waiting for the children to demonstrate something, some taekwondo tricks and skills. Children aged about 5 to 14 years old were among the participants.

Taking pictures of the children.
Couldn't wait for the next performance.
Preparing the children for the kungfu acts.
Big kids and small kids grouped together.
Pok amai-amai. Belalang kupu-kupu...
A sifu master asked one of the children to stand up straight.
Four taekwondo sifus walked in with pride. Tailing them the taekwondo kids. Everyone was full of zest, energy, and determination. Basic taekwondo moves were demonstrated. "Right hand punch! Left hand upper block! Right leg lower kick. Both legs upper kick!" All sort of moves were shown. Audience clapped their hands. Everyone seemed to be very excited and wanting for more.

"He did it! The big guy did it!!"
"Gotta kick. Gotta kick hard. Really hard!"
The posture of respect.
"I believe I can fly." And the students watched their sifu made an attempt to fly.
Hopping and hopping until you sweat.
Left hand upper punch.
"I said punch. Not fruit punch!"
Left hand upper block.
Left hand upper block again.
Just when I thought the show was over, suddenly I heard the sounds of plywood cracking. I quickly ran to see what was on at that time. Small kids kicked pieces of plywood until they broke. I was impressed. Everyone in the hall was impressed. I clapped my hands. Hard. Until my hands got swollen. Owch! Couldn't believe those small kids had the power to do such energetic moves. I could hear some parents shouted, "We want more! We want more!" The taekwondo sifus could not let the audience down. But there were no more plywood left to be kicked.

"Chop those trees near the field! And bring the logs up!" instructed one of the sifus. Some parents went down, took a chainsaw, and started to cut some trees down. "Timbeeeeeerrrrrrrrr!!!!" The logs were cut to smaller parts. Small enough to ease the parents to carry them up to the sports hall. The taekwondo sifus then yelled at the more senior children. "Kicked the logs. Break 'em to pieces!!" The children  with all their mights, kicked the logs. Pow!!! And the logs became pieces of debris. The audience clapped louder. Cheered louder. Now everyone screamed rhythmically, and simultaneously, "We want more! We want more!! We want moreeeeeeee!!!!!"

A sifu demonstrating a move.
Punch punch punch!
"Let's do it, my friend".
"First I punch you. Then you punch me".
"Punch slow slow only, aahh".
Amier's best friend during Kidz Cabin time.
And this is Firdaus!
The four taekwondo sifus could not take the heat. They perspired heavily. Wet their clothes. The crowd became wilder and wilder. Every particle of the air was filled with voices of the crowd wanting for more actions from the taekwondo children. The four sifus knew they could not just stand there doing nothing. The crowd's demand must be fulfilled. But how? What else could be kicked and broken? All trees along Jalan Aman were cut down. No more logs can be used. Suddenly the chief sifu got an amazing idea.

"Okay! For the finale show, we will get the children to kick and break the concrete columns. Yes! The concrete columns of this very building!!" Hearing that, the crowd became super wild and screamed as loud as they could. One older student was asked to kick the first column. He used the magic and power of the Dragon Ball. The hands began to move smoothly forming a circle like gesture. Suddenly, fireballs appeared from his bare hands and went towards the column at super high speed. Kapowwww!!! In a split second, the concrete column turned to dust. And as you've guessed, the crowd became totally crazy.

And the ultimate show which gave the most impact to the crowd was this final act by a 10 year old boy. His approach was a bit different. He took about a hundred steps back. And ran forward shouting like Naruto. "Aaaaahhhhhhhgggghhhh!!! Inilah kuasa angin tornado bergabung dengan kuasa api matahari dari planet Utarid!!! Naaaahhhh!!! Amekawwwww!!!!" Kababooommm!!! A super loud sound of explosion could be heard miles away from the sports hall. All the concrete columns were torn down. The building immediately collapse! Totally destroyed! And the crowd couldn't say anything more. They became speechless. The act everyone had been waiting for was witnessed by all.

Meal time. Let's go eat!
Azlan and the Typewriter. Oops! This is a different Azlan. This is Azlan and the Nasi Lemak.
After the kungfu show, there was this performance by the gymnast girls. And that was the last performance before we came to the actual telematch event.

To be continued...

Gymnasts in action.
Impressive performance.
